Introducing the Darrell English Collection

ShadowLight is thrilled to announce the launch of our new Holocaust artifact collection, on loan from the Darrell English Collection, which will accompany our tours or can be booked as a separate program.

Darrell describes the Collection as a Collection of man’s inhumanity to man and is his life's work with the intent to share with the world how time once was and how man can be led to commit injustices. Engage with this timeless Collection and spread the knowledge discovered within.

When Jordana posted on Facebook seeking Holocaust artifacts to accompany the ShadowLight curriculum, she received a response from a man named Darrell English. Located in North Adams, Massachusetts – a small town nestled in the Berkshire Mountains, near Albany, New York – Mr. English has been collecting Holocaust artifacts since he was a child, striving to educate about the importance of learning Holocaust history through the stories of these remnants of the past. Darrell was kind enough to lend pieces of the Darrell English Collection's artifacts to ShadowLight to go on tour, creating a collaboration that will only strengthen educational pursuits. Jordana recently travelled to North Adams to retrieve these priceless artifacts. This partnership will continue to develop over the coming years as ShadowLight and the Darrell English Collection embark on greater impactful missions and items will be rotated through ShadowLight's tours. We are so grateful to Darrell and his dear wife Mary for their passion for Holocaust education and lending us these artifacts out of the kindness of their hearts. Our partnership is a special one, grounded in bridging connection between diverse people and in unity, spreading light through the darkness.
