International Holocaust Remembrance Day

This International Holocaust Remembrance Day marks the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. Our Founder and Executive director, Jordana, was in attendance of the commemorative ceremonies that took place in Poland today.

Here is what Jordana had to say about such a powerful experience:

“No words can describe how blessed I am to be at Auschwitz with over 100 survivors from this very camp in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of liberation. Just 75 years ago these survivors were imprisoned within these walls and barbed wire and lost their entire families and now we return with full families built anew.

We young people must declare to the world that we will remember and we will be change-makers and lamplighters in their honour forever.

They held onto hope despite all odds and we are their hope for the future.”
